I have Group Lessons for Absolute Beginners that I run on a regular basis, check the Schedule of Events page to see when the next one starts
The Workshop Series is suitable for:
Anyone who has attended my Beginner Group Lessons series
Confident Beginner - This player knows a handful of chords and can move from one chord to another without pausing. Has developed a strum or two.
Intermediate & Advanced - At this level, you can hold a steady rhythm and can play a variety of basic chords (for example: A, Am, B7, C, C7, D, Dm, E, Em, G, and G7).
Private Lessons - I do not give regularly schedule private lessons, but do offer "one-off" lessons for any level of ukulele player who may need some help through an area of their playing, or where they may want to move on and explore other facets of ukulele playing
Once you have sent me an email to register, I will reply and give you options and instructions to pay by either e-transfer, credit card via PayPal or by mailing a cheque
A pencil or pen and some paper to take notes. A ukulele, a smile and a willingness to have fun.
A pen or pencil to take notes, your ukulele, a smile and if the workshop is at Ground Zero Acoustic Lounge, a music stand.
If you have a ukulele group somewhere on Vancouver Island or surrounding Islands and would like me to bring my workshop to you, please email me and we can discuss how to make that happen
Pre-registration and prepayment are required for all Group Lessons and Workshops. No refund will generally be given if you cancel a workshop less than seven days before it is due to take place
If you don't have a ukulele and can't borrow one from a friend, you can rent one from Long & McQuade or, if you give me at least 10 days notice before the start of the Beginners class, I can order a package of a good quality starter set of a Classic concert sized ukulele with a strap pin, strap and tuner for a reasonable price (currently $120 taxes included, prepayment required)
